Christmas = work

I say this EVERY year. Like a broken record.
I want to enjoy Christmas. Really enjoy it. Not rush around, buying last minute gifts, running from one party to the next.

The snow put a halt to some preperation so the rush is more so. Working 45+ hours a week doesn't help when you throw in travel time.
One year before I die it will all be done. Before 2am Christmas morning.

Baby it is SO cold outside

So much for winter in DC. I figured we were below the Mason-Dixon line, semi close to the water, and we are in Virginia (kind of..) so no snow right?
Wrong. So very wrong.
We have snow. BEFORE the offical winter has begun. Crazy right? We have received about 20 inches.
Now most people that I whine to about this tell me I should visit their state and see what a real winter is all about.
Look - I get it. It snows all over. But I am a beach bunny - not a snow bunny.
I grew up where "cold" was 45 degrees. Snow was not something we saw and if we did? One inch could shut the town down.
So work with me. This is new territory.

Speaking of which I think it is past time to move. Way past.

The holidays - no Turkey yet

So we aren't really trying to get pregnant. Just one of those wait and see things. I wonder how long I'll stick with THAT plan.

On a really exciting note - my very best friend IS pregnant. With her first. I am beyond excited for her! The first pregnancy is so exciting and yet terrifying. Every pain, twinge, and ache freaks you out.
And of course the weird stuff that goes on with your body? Yeah no one can prepare you for that. The stuff you don't even want to tell your husband about. But then you eventually find comfort in knowing that others go through it too.
Of course if you're like me people that tell you about it generally tone it down. Nice. So I never got the down n' dirty so to speak.
Hmmm funny I think I tone it down too for others. And the tradition continues.

I'm BAAAAACCCKKKK

Oh yes my people. I'm back and as saucy as ever.
I decided to celebrate my comeback by creating a new blog to confuse not only myself but the people I used to chillax with on blogger.
Clever eh?

Yes I thought so.

I realized how much I miss blogger. And talking about myself. I just don't get enough of it at home, work and on facebook. I need to expand even further. I need to reach as far as I can.
I consider it my own form of world domination.
Just work with me here.

So what have I been up to since I have been on last? Almost a YEAR later?
Wow.
Sadly, not much.
BUT....I do have a teensy tiny little weensy secret to tell you all.
And no sharing with my RL people.

I am off the pill.
Well off BC.
Yep, it was a joint decision this time.
I'll tell that story another time. It's HIL-A-REE-OUS.

But it's only been like 10 days so no I'm NOT pregnant. Yet.
We'll see how long it takes for those bad boys to infest my poor unsuspecting egg.
